About me Hi, I’m Lisa Yukari. I currently live in Barcelona. I’m a self-taught artist — no formal art education, just a deep need to express what I feel. I paint by intuition, guided by emotion and stillness. My paintings often grow out of silence. I’m drawn to worn textures, crooked branches, fading walls — things that carry time and imperfection. I follow the aesthetic of wabi-sabi and the Japanese philosophy of ma — the beauty of space, the pause, the breath between. Some works are calm and minimal — just two tones and a whisper. Others are more playful, bright, and spontaneous. I call those dopamine paintings. They don’t explain — they smile. I don’t aim for perfection. I paint what’s alive inside me.
